Admission to the Graduate Program (MA/PhD in Language Studies)

Admission to the Master's and Doctoral programs occurs through an annual selection process, governed by a specific public call for applications (Edital).

Selection Process Phases

Phase 1 - Remote Evaluation

Research Proposal Assessment (Eliminatory)

  • Evaluated by the admissions committee (score: 0-10)
  • Minimum passing score: 7.0
  • Criteria outlined in the official call

 

Phase 2 - Synchronous Remote Defense

Proposal Oral Examination (Eliminatory)

  • Live defense via videoconference
  • Committee Q&A session (score: 0-10)
  • Minimum passing score: 7.0

 

Phase 3 - Document Review

a) Lattes CV Evaluation (Ranking)

  • Verified through the Lattes Platform
  • Scored according to rubric in the call
