LINES OF RESEARCH:
Line 1 – Discourse, Subject and Society
This line of research addresses discourse studies aiming to reflect on the organization and discursive functioning in verbal-visual materialities, linked to the historical-social conditions of enunciation and constitution, as well as their relationship with the subject, production of subjectivity and identity constructions, bearing in mind the discursive practices that circulate socially, whether in science, education, the media or in institutional spaces.
Line 2 - Literature, Memory and Identity:
This line of research studies the relations of literature with identity and otherness issues, gender relations, individual and collective memory, considering the places of discourse of different social and ethnic groups and the different modes of formal realization of the literary text, as well as the its relationship with the other arts.
Line 3 – Language and Culture:
Study of the relations between language and culture and their manifestations in different supports and genres and different times. It welcomes research that focuses on the multiple and inseparable expressions of the acts of representing and signifying human interactions in language and culture, in theoretical paradigms of research and language teaching.
